A little Jewel on Sunday May 3rd

Hello again folks!

Just a little reminder to say that Lechlade Antiques Fair is on show on Sunday May 3rd, yes, the Sunday of the Bank Holiday Monday!

We have a good looking fair with a few changes, one regular is away, and we have a visiting dealer from North Wales joining us with glass, silver, jewellery, pictures etc.

Refreshments are always available, and as summer seems to be here, I can recommend the blue cheese tart!

Open from 10am, and closing at 4pm, there should be time for you to enjoy a walk by the river too without missing us.

Maybe see you there.

Regards, Andy

I’m the author Andy spoke to. Here is a little more information about the book. The first chapter tells the story of Giles Coates. Subsequent chapters visit Victorian footballers, lead miners, linen workers, potters, millers and boatmen. Topics covered include spa towns, canals, the Sheffield flood, Rotherham boat disaster, world war 1, the titanic and forced migration of orphans.
Many of the stories directly concern ancestors from my own family tree. Although separated geographically and historically I show what a small world it really is.

I have spent over a year researching and writing this book. I hope you will enjoy reading it.
