The first Lechlade Antiques & Collectors Fair shall be held on Sunday February 7th.
Whilst we rarely have musical instruments for sale, we occasionally do, and the date is the 122nd anniversary of the invention of the saxaphone, by Adolphe Sax! Dare I offer free entry to anyone playing them (decently!) upon arrival? Oh, yes, why not, but only for the first 25!
So, the first fair of the year starts with a good turn out, as we already have lots of stalls booked, including a lady who hasn’t been with us for a while, and a few from the autumn who enjoy the fair and have decided to stay with us for a while, as well as many of our regulars.
Refreshments shall be served on the day, and whilst I have no idea of their menu yet, there are many visitors to the fair that enjoy a sit and a meal whilst deciding what to buy.
Whatever weather the day brings, we shall do our best to be all set up and ready at 10am, despite being a little out of practice! Remember we close at 4pm, or just before if it looks gloomy!
Hope to see you there. Best regards, Andy
