Clocking On?

So, one of the items that will be at The Bibury Fair will be an interesting mix of countries combined into one clock. The movement is essentially German, and the casework Irish.

The clockmakers had premises in Dublin in 1862.

The case came to me very dirty, and with care has been revived and enhanced. So much surface dirt has been shifted away, and much of the original polish now looking generally in good condition, and in some areas positively glowing! It was mentioned that the timber looked good against the container, sadly I shall have to just exhibit the clock, the container is a little large!

Shall let you decide! The movement is a typical wooden Black Forest Style, with wooden dial, an interesting combination with the more traditional Longcase.

Does one like it?

Let me know!

Regards, Andy
