More Antiques at Bibury Village Hall!

Hello folks!

Yes, weather in the early part of the week was cold and crispy, and as Bibury is nestled alongside a river, and all roads in lead downhill, maybe vintage sledges will be for sale? Ideal time of year to buy Santa a present!

So, we will be on display on Sunday December 4th, and here is a photo of a recent selection of stock from Eve, who will be with us again.

Pop along between 10 and 4 to see what we can tempt you with!

Bye for now!

All the best, and “Seasons Greetings!”

We’re back before Santa!

Hello again!

Just to let you know that on Sunday 4th December, we shall be returning to Bibury Village Hall, for our last event of the year!

Can’t promise any reindeer, but we will have lots of sparkly goodies many suitable for the party season, and I’ll be bringing some chairs just incase anyone has extra guests, or moved house recently!

Please pop along between 10am and 4pm to see us, refreshments will be served, so something hot should be welcome as I have been told the weather is turning colder, well so it should, it’s winter!

Have a good week and see you soon?

Regards, Andy

Fair Results

Thanks to all those people who joined us at Bibury yesterday, I was pleased with how the fair looked and the results across the board were good. Visitors from many different areas and countries were amongst us, as well as many locals, so we must be doing something right!

Our next event will be in December, I shall be bringing a few items that haven’t been out on sale before, as yesterday a dining table and a linen box went to a new home not that far away, as they carried both items!

Have a good week, it’s sunny now and I’m off to sort out a few bits and bobs! Here is a small selection of some of the jewellery that was on sale.

All the best, Andy

After The Fireworks!

Wow! Noisy and warm old evening!

What with massive flames and cracking noises and multicolour displays, nothing or anyone with half decent hearing could have missed this evenings displays of fireworks and bonfires surely?

So, when the smoke clears, maybe there will be time to pop along to see us in Bibury at The Village Hall, Church Road and peruse a few interesting things.

Here are a few of my bits and bobs, and I hope that you like them, I have more, but my vehicle in’t quite big enough to carry them all. If you are looking for anything, I most likely don’t have it, but maybe know someone that does, and asking is very cost effective, and very often free, but many people don’t believe that! Here are a few rugs, fire companion sets and mirrored screen, table and coal podonium (or as I call them, boxes!)

There will be a several fabulous stalls on show on November 6th, I hope that you have time to join us and take home a momento of the day!

All the best, Andy!

After the fireworks!

Yes, Sunday morning, after the fireworks parties of the evening before, we shall be on show in Bibury, at The Village Hall, Church Road, GL7 5NR Open from 10am!

Although only a few of us, the quality was appreciated at last months events, and also the visitor number was higher than I hoped for, can we do it all again? I hope so, pop along and find out!

There will be more on show this time , and we all hope the day to be good!

At the time of writing this it is pouring with rain outside, but I hope we can set up in the dry! Excellent refreshments will help the day along, maybe some hot rolls or jacket potatoes, I didn’t ask what the menu will be!

Here is a photograph of part of a stall from October.

All the best, Andy

Knock Knock!

Who’s there?

Come along to Bibury Village Hall on Sunday November 6th between 10am and 4pm to find out! Easy to find, at the other end of the riverside walk from the Trout Farm and Swan Hotel, we are nearer The William Morris Tea Rooms, The Church and Bibury Court!

Refreshments shall be served from around 930, and we are scheduled to be open at 10, but it is possible we will be ready before that, always a hope!

Should you be an early bird and find us locked up, then maybe a door knocker would have been a help, and once inside, this is one that you will find for sale.

A Maltese Dolphin, brass, and has a door striker too.

Hope you like it, oh yes, just perfect for somewhere called Dolphinholme! I know where it is, do you?

Regards, Andy

Back to Bibury!

Yes, Next Sunday, November 6th, we will be found again in Bibury Village Hall, from 10am to 4pm. Refreshments will be available, and I remember enjoying my sausage and bacon roll last month, I wonder what will be on the menu this time?

We are very much not the largest fair ever, but last month the dealers all had a good time and sold well, and I hope that similar results will be achieved this time too, we certainly had an excellent selection of quality items, and the results showed this!

Also joining us will be another couple who are selling glass. Paperweights, drinking glasses, and other decorative designer, vintage items too, should be a good display right in-front of the stage, I look forward to seeing what they have, if I can get a photo of some of their stock, I’ll add it here!

Amongst other dealers stock, there may be sweet small horn box for sale, and here it is, quite a small one, and with some signs of wear and old damage, but they don’t seem to be as easily found as they used to be.

Hope you have a good week, and look forward to seeing you soon!

Regards, Andy
